It started with a vision…

A garden overflowing with a variety of flowering shrubs and plants covering the stone pathways, slowly winding throughout. Giving our homestead an old, cottage style feel like it had been there since the house itself was built. As we started to renovate our home and the unattended gardens, we realized early on that this labor of love was something we wanted to share with others.

One of the ideas that has always stuck since the beginning was having a U-Pick cut flower garden. What felt like just a dream that would be pushed aside due to the realities of daily life, has since shifted into a different way of living. This shift has mostly been out of a desire to have more time at home and ultimately more time for family.

Our priorities are straight forward - family and a simpler way of life.

Through that shift Gable Crest Gardens was started. Allowing us to align our priorities of family and a simpler life all while sharing our many outdoor passions connection and creativity with you, through the simple beauty of nature.

Meet Jeff & our son.

Jeff / Resident Beekeeper

You’ll likely find Jeff in the orchard, boiling maple syrup in the spring or tending the honeybees. He loves filling our orchard with not only our classics staples for fruit, but he’s usually tracking down a new or unusual variety to add.

Our son / Chicken Chaser

Our wild and carefree toddler is our most important member of the Gable Crest Gardens team. He is our biggest inspiration in creating our home and reminding us of what is truly important in life.  He is fearless and loves the outdoors. He is the best at picking weeds… and the occasional flower!

We simply love growing plants...

We are just minutes away from State Route 83 in the heart of Amish country, making the gardens an easy retreat to find for a relaxing day in the country. When planning the gardens, we tried keeping you in mind and how you would like to spend your time here.

Maybe you’re planning a day with friends or would you like to bring your family? Would you have a small child in a stroller? We tried to keep most of our grass pathways accessible so that you have room to bring a stroller or be able to walk comfortably throughout the pathways with a group. However you plan your visit here, we hope it’s a relaxing day in nature, surrounded by beautiful farmland where you can come to recharge from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

…and we’re so happy you’re joining us!
